Terms of Service
Effective Date: November 4, 2025
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service are intended to stipulate the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between the Service and its members regarding the use of AI-based recipe generation and related services provided by Cookka.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:
- "Service" means AI-based recipe extraction, generation, and related ancillary services provided by Cookka.
- "Member" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service by logging into the Service.
- "Original Source" means external content such as website URLs, video links, etc. input by members into the Service, which serves as the basis for recipe generation.
- "AI-Generated Recipe" means recipe information extracted and processed from the Original Source through artificial intelligence technology provided by the Service.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
① These Terms shall become effective by posting them on the Service screen or notifying members by other means.
② The Service may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws and regulations when necessary, and when the Terms are amended, the changes shall be announced through announcements within the Service from 7 days before the effective date.
③ Members have the right not to agree to the amended Terms, and if they do not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue using the Service and withdraw from membership. If a member continues to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Membership Registration and Formation of Service Use Agreement)
① Membership registration is established when a user agrees to the contents of these Terms, applies for membership through social login via Google OAuth or Naver OAuth, and the Service accepts the application.
② The Service may refuse membership registration or subsequently restrict or suspend membership qualifications in the following cases:
- When using another person's information
- When interfering with the normal operation of the Service
- When applied for purposes that violate relevant laws or harm social order or public morals
- When violating other terms and conditions set by the Service
Article 5 (Provision and Modification of Services)
① The Service performs the following tasks:
- Extracting recipe information from external content such as websites and videos
- Processing and generating recipe information using artificial intelligence technology
- Storing and managing generated recipes
- Other services that the Service additionally develops or provides through partnership agreements
② The Service may modify the contents of the Service when necessary, and changes shall be announced through announcements within the Service.
Article 6 (Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights)
Paragraph 1 (Copyright of Original Sources)
The copyright and intellectual property rights of the Original Sources (external content such as websites and videos) input by members into the Service belong to the original copyright holders of such Original Sources. The Service only extracts factual information (objective information such as ingredients, cooking methods, cooking time, etc.) from such content and does not reproduce or redistribute the original works themselves.
Paragraph 2 (Copyright of AI-Generated Recipes)
① The copyright of AI-Generated Recipes created through the Service's artificial intelligence technology belongs to the member who generated the recipe.
② However, members agree that the Service may utilize AI-Generated Recipes in a de-identified manner for purposes such as service operation, improvement, and promotion.
③ AI-Generated Recipes are the results of artificial intelligence extracting and reconstructing factual information from Original Sources, and do not constitute direct reproduction of the creative expression of the Original Sources.
Paragraph 3 (Copyright of the Service)
The copyright and intellectual property rights regarding the Service itself, including software, design, logo, and trademarks provided by the Service, belong to the Service.
Article 7 (Member's Obligations and Responsibilities)
Paragraph 1 (Responsibility for Content Input)
① Members are responsible for verifying that the Original Sources they input into the Service meet the following requirements:
- It must be publicly accessible and legal content
- It must not violate relevant laws such as copyright laws
- It must not infringe on the rights of others
② All legal responsibilities arising from members inputting illegal content or content that infringes on the rights of others rest with the member, and the Service shall not be liable for such matters.
Paragraph 2 (Responsibility for Use of AI-Generated Recipes)
① Members are responsible for verifying the accuracy, suitability, safety, etc. of AI-Generated Recipes before using them.
② AI-Generated Recipes are automatically generated using artificial intelligence technology, and the Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality, safety, etc. of such content.
③ All consequences and legal responsibilities arising from members using, sharing, commercially utilizing, or creating derivative works from AI-Generated Recipes rest with the member, and the Service shall not be liable for such matters.
④ In particular, members are solely responsible for food safety, allergies, health issues, etc. that may arise from cooking and consuming AI-Generated Recipes.
Paragraph 3 (Prohibited Acts)
Members shall not engage in any of the following acts:
- Stealing or illegally using another person's personal information
- Intentionally interfering with the operation of the Service or transmitting information that may interfere with the stable operation of the Service
- Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of information obtained through the Service
- Infringing on intellectual property rights such as copyrights and trademarks of others
- Acts that are objectively judged to be related to crimes
- Other acts that violate relevant laws
Article 8 (Limitation of Service Liability)
① The Service shall be exempt from liability for providing the Service when it is unable to provide the Service due to force majeure circumstances such as natural disasters, war, suspension of services by telecommunications carriers, hacking, or system failures.
② The Service shall not be liable for disruptions in the use of the Service caused by the member's fault.
③ The Service shall not be liable for the member's failure to obtain expected profits through the use of the Service or for the loss of such profits, and shall not be liable for damages caused by materials obtained through the Service.
④ The Service shall not be liable for the reliability, accuracy, and other content of information, data, and facts posted by members on the Service.
⑤ Due to the nature of AI technology, the Service does not guarantee the accuracy, suitability, or safety of generated recipes, and shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of AI-Generated Recipes.
⑥ The Service has no obligation to pre-screen Original Sources for copyright infringement, and shall not be liable for problems arising from Original Sources input by members or AI-Generated Recipes infringing on third-party rights.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
① The Service is provided on a paid basis (however, limited free use is available for certain features), and unless otherwise specified by law, the Service shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of the Service.
② When members provide, share, sell, or otherwise use AI-Generated Recipes to third parties, members shall bear all responsibilities for copyright infringement, defamation, and other legal disputes arising therefrom.
③ Disputes between members or between members and third parties that arise through the Service must be resolved between the parties, and the Service shall not intervene or assume responsibility for such disputes.
Article 10 (Service Suspension)
① The Service may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:
- Unavoidable circumstances due to maintenance or construction of service facilities
- Power outages, facility failures, or surges in usage that interfere with normal service use
- Necessary operational circumstances such as termination of contracts with service providers
- Force majeure circumstances such as natural disasters or national emergencies
② When the Service is suspended due to the reasons in Paragraph 1, the Service shall announce it in advance if possible. However, if there are unavoidable circumstances that prevent advance notice, it may be announced afterwards.
Article 11 (Member Withdrawal and Loss of Qualification)
① Members may request termination of the service agreement at any time through the membership withdrawal function within the Service, and the Service shall process this immediately in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
② The Service may restrict or suspend membership qualifications when members fall under any of the following circumstances:
- When false information is registered during membership application
- When interfering with other people's use of the Service or stealing their information, thereby threatening the order of electronic commerce
- When using the Service to engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms or acts contrary to public order and morals
③ Upon membership withdrawal, the member's personal information and generated recipe data shall be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Article 12 (Compensation for Damages)
① If damages occur to members due to the Service's intent or gross negligence, the Service shall bear liability for damages in accordance with relevant laws.
② If damages occur to the Service due to a member's violation of these Terms, the member shall bear liability for damages to the Service.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)
① The Service and members shall make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve disputes arising from the use of the Service.
② If disputes are not resolved despite the efforts in Paragraph 1, the court with jurisdiction over the address of the Service shall have jurisdiction over such disputes.
Article 14 (Governing Law)
These Terms and all matters related to the use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the local jurisdiction.
